The history of toys
In 1947, an event took place in the US state of Kentucky that turned the world of crime upside down. Legendary thief Al Capone entered one of America's most secure vaults. Knowing that his life was about to end, Capone had the brilliant idea of hiding all the stolen loot in plain sight. The place of his choice? The Fort Knox storage facility.
The gold vault was considered the safest place in the world: its walls were made of granite and covered with a layer of concrete, and a 22-ton door protected the entrance. To open the door, you need the code, which is divided among several people for additional security.
In the event of an attack, autonomous life support and power supply systems are in place, which also ensure the supply of food and water. The security of the complex was such that the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom were stored at Fort Knox during World War II.
